Three ways to get started
This instructor passed a criminal background check.
Sally is a senior vocal performance major at Georgia State University. A passionate musician, she has performed in both musical theatre and opera with roles ranging from Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Peggy in Godspell to Flora in The Turn of the Screw and Ruby Sheep in Candide.
A versitile singer, she currently sings under Pedrag Gosta, artistic director and conductor of New Trinity Baroque, as a staff singer at Rock Spring Presbyterian. She has also worked with many exceptional singers in masterclass, such as Dwight Coleman, George Shirley, and Jennifer Ayler.
She looks forward to teaching as a way to share her love of music with others.
A lesson with Sally will be engaging and enjoyable. As one who in their youth experienced the "mean music teacher" she endeavors to make each lesson a success in some way. Voice lessons will emphasise proper breathing and singing posture. Sally believs that one can sing healthily no matter the style. Piano students will recieve classical instruction along with fun pieces to show off with. Music is fun, lessons should be fun too!
Beginning music students will recieve a good musical foundation, from reading music into basic music theory, integrated into the lessons in a fun and interesting way.
In teaching voice, my goal is to teach the student how to sing in their desired style while emphasizing vocal health.
