GUITAR: I am a teacher who combines the best of all worlds of styles. On the first lesson I always want to know my potential student(s). What kind of music they like, what are they expecting of me and where are they heading with their playing. It does not matter if you are a hobbyist or serious player I want to know your style. Once I establish a fundamental ground with you on how and where you are going we can take of to the next level. The most important thing for me is that I want you to have fun when learning. I will begin with one of my favorite methods for classical guitar(even though I teach electric guitar I believe it is necessary) I will work with you from wherever you are comfortable playing right now. I will correct you on your mistakes. It can be from holding the guitar, finger placement of chords or solo strings to strumming technique. If you are a beginner it will be a world of fun. There is nothing better than learning from zero. The main focus of my lessons are for you to feel comfortable and happy playing the guitar. Knowledge of what you are playing will come in time if you stay with it. Learning to play guitar takes time and dedication like with anything else you dedicate time to. The key to perfection is practice. Always practice. We will cover subjects like: ear training, reading, music theory, solo string improv, chords, scales and more. I will keep it as balanced as possible for you. I also encourage you to bring a song of your choice to the lesson so that I can review it with you and show you what you can kind of solos you can play and what kind of relation it has to what you have learned so far. Please do not bring the song on the first lesson, because that won't help you yet. I am a most of the time blues guitarist and if you want to know rock you have to know the blues. I'll teach you the fundamentals of blues in time along side the other subjects we will cover. You will solo like a blues legend in no time. Each week depending on what you have learned so far I will start a progression and you will have to tell me what scale you are playing and what kind of chords I am playing. This part of my memory retention skill that you will have to learn. If you to remember to practice we will move faster, but if you don't we will get stuck at the same subject. I know it takes time to learn and if you need more time, No problem, just remember it all depends on you my friend. For ear training. I will play a note first and then the chord on the guitar or keyboard and you have to give the correct chord. For music theory. We will cover notes to chord building. Relationship between chords and scales and more. For reading. I will bring this on to you slowly but surely. It will take time for you to be able to read music flawlessly. Once we are further in the lessons we will get more involved in Alternate Tunings. Technique is very important so we will spend a good amount of time on that. I'll show you how to build your own guitar player's chart with notation and all. I will make sure to give you the best lessons you ever had with a fun and nice teacher You will get a complete package.
