About Me
I have been playing guitar for 10 years and trumpet for 12 years. I have a Bachelors degree in music from Augsburg College where I studied with Lynn Erickson and O. Nick Raths. I have played in several different rock groups, jazz bands, orchestras, and concert bands and am currently writing a full length solo album.
Lesson Details
When it comes to teaching, I like to base lessons on the student's interests. I can help students with many things, from learning songs from sheet music, tab, and/or by ear, to writing original songs. I can teach you how to play rhythm as well as teach you to play improvised lead solos.
Generally I like to dedicate 1/3 of each lesson to technical exercises (such as scales and rhythms), 1/3 to working on the musicality of previous assignments, and 1/3 to learning new material. If you or your child is eager to learn, then I am the teacher you are looking for.
