About singing lessons

Singing Lessons from professional voice teachers. Voice instructors in your area are now available to help you learn how to sing! Many of our voice teachers specialize in private singing classes for kids with a focus on making lessons safe and fun. Pick from Modern Voice, Opera Lessons, or Speaking Voice. A normal singing lesson will start with proper warm up and then move to vocal technique and vocal exercises used to strengthen the vocal cords. Finally, the singing lesson will end with the student practicing specific pieces of music. When you learn to sing, most voice teachers will also give you vocal exercises and singing tips to take with you. There are many programs developed by vocal coaches (such as Speech Level Singing) and you should find the one that works for you. When narrowing down your search for a vocal coach, make sure they work on the kind of music you are interested in (gospel vocal lessons and R&B Vocal Training is different than Rock Voice Coaching and Opera Coaches). Also take a look at their bio for singing credentials and experience and ask for references. While it is helpful if you read music, in most cases it is not a requirement before beginning your voice lessons.

I took vocal lessons when I was little, from about 7-12 years old. Money got tight so I stopped and never started again. I grew up singing along with disney movies and I always wished that I could sing like Ariel. I have been singing Karaoke for fun 3 nights a week since I turned 21, and Im getting sick of singing other peoples songs. I would like to Hone my skills to gain the confidence im lacking to make it with a band and actually perform my songs. I know my breathing tech isnt great,...

has been involved in music her whole life. She taught herself to play the piano in grade school and loves to sing in the chorus at school. She has also attended La-De-Da Performing Arts School for acting & singing.

The older she gets the more focused she has become and now we are looking to get her a professional coach to help identify her talents and abilities in the performing arts.

She is taking performing arts classes in junior high, however would like more focused singing lessons

Good evening! I am not a good singer, but absolutely love doing it. At the age of 28, are voice lessons a good idea? I don't want to become famous, but I would love to sing in the church choir or alone on stage and feel good about it. Is there hope for me?? :)

Also, Tuesday or Friday evenings would work great for me. I am interested to know of what available times you have though

— D. T. in Sugar Land, TX

I would like to learn how to emphasize the better sounding tone of my voice while decreasing the no so pleasant excess. I play in a band and I wish to find out how much better I can sound if given the right direction
