I have always loved music and playing the piano, and I have achieved lots of success performing music in all styles, culminating with a degree in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music. I was capable of playing practically anything I wanted, but there was something deeper and more meaningful I wanted to go after. Instead of being hunched over and tense, I instantly freed my body to create the brilliant sound I wanted. Further on, she introduced me to other techniques such as moving the wrist forward in certain places to evenly and freely distribute energy, and singing techniques to hear my ideas and arrive at whatever phrasing I wanted to get at the piano. The best thing was that it worked!
